Some reasons include the cards were fan favorites and popular demand brought them back or in some cases, reprints were to commemorate certain events such as widely known matches or anniversary sets. Reprint sets are sets of certain cards from previous sets that were re-released for different reasons. Future Sight followed the trend created by the release of Dissension by being released in May 2007. The only block set to break the pattern of months after Ice Age Block is Dissension, which was released a month early, in May instead of June, because of the July release of Coldsnap. Also beginning with Alliances, expansion sets were given codenames while in development the code names of the three expansions of a cycle usually fit together to form a phrase or common theme. Thus, beginning with Alliances, only year, not every month, of release is given for expansion sets in the table below. In the table below, expansion symbols and expansion codes are listed in parentheses following the name.īeginning with Alliances in June 1996, expansion sets were released in a regular pattern: the base sets were released in October with the small expansion sets being released in February and June. Wizards of the Coast also assigns a three-character expansion code to each expansion. It was be followed by another "mini block," Shadowmoor, which also consist of one large and one small set.Īll expansion sets, and all editions of the base set from 6th Edition onward, are identified by an expansion symbol printed on the right side of cards, below the art and above the text box. Wizards announced that Lorwyn will consist of one large set and one small set, released in October and February respectively. Traditionally, the large set of each cycle has been released every October, with the small expansion sets associated with it being released the following February and June this practice began with Alliances in June 1996. Like the base set, stand-alone expansion sets contain basic land cards other expansion sets do not. Expansion sets beginning with Ice Age have come in sets of three which form a "cycle" or "block" consisting of one large "stand-alone" expansion set of more than 300 cards, followed by two small expansion sets of less than 200 cards, which continue the themes introduced in the large set. Expansion sets expand the game by adding new cards. The different editions of the base set each contain 302-449 cards, which have all been printed before, with the exception of Limited Edition, which was the game's first set. Wizards of the Coast releases Magic cards in base/core sets and in expansion sets.

![]() It's a bit hazy but I think I found this through the Pro Pinball forum at been emailing Ade pre the launch and definitely doing cabinet support and 2 monitor outlet. I believe there is a workaround for the resolution limit for the DOS version of Timeshock, this has to do with using a modded Dosbox version if I remember correctly (the "HAL" version if memory serves me right), which let you allocate more video memory or something in that order. I'd like to get some information on how I could install these to my pinball computer in a way to enjoy them for years to come. It sounds like you have somehow found a great solution to these problems. A couple of years ago, I ran across a CD key-free installation of Time Shock, but was disappointed in the fact that it didn't come with any of the music. I bought all four of the pro pinball tables back as they came out years ago, and have been frustrated that I can't easily have them installed on a computer these days without disc swapping and what not. Actually XP had more issues running these tables than Vista or Win7, but even for XP there are patches that fix things up for those that need them. So if anybody needs anything in regardless to Pro Pinball or any questions, I probably can help.Įven though I have Windows 7 64bit, all the tables work perfectly, don't even need a compatibility mode. All 4 tables, windows versions with the latest patches & no cd patches, all my tables play the background music, I got all the documents, guides & PDF's for these games as well. But regardless, even at a scaled 1280x1024 resolution these games look amazing, its definitely MUCH better than not having them at all. One of the reasons I keep buying 16:10 monitors is so that I have the 1200x resolution height for games like Pro Pinball, VP, & FP. & I highly recommend playing them at 1600x1200 resolution like I do (The Web can only do 1024x) if you are able to, obviously the higher resolution looks great, & also no LCD scaling needs to be done which can muddy the game quality a bit, though there is no avoiding scaling if you are on a 16:9 monitor since there is no 1080x resolution. You don't own a real pinball machine? Well these tables are as close to the real game as you'll find. There is no excuse to not own them if you are a fan of pinball, since they are the best pinball sims in the history of the world. Otherwise I think the GOG versions of BRUSA & Fantastic Journey are OK, just not Timeshock. ![]() I would go on Amazon or Ebay & look for the full windows collection of all 4 games, or at least the newest 3. If anybody truly can't find the windows games for a reasonable price, PM me & I'll help you get them. I hold these tables in such high regard that I just couldn't bear knowing that people are playing VP/ FP versions of them instead of the real thing, it would drive me nuts!īecause these games are old & can be found really cheap (& make sure you don't get the DOS version of Timeshock that GOG sells, it isn't quite as good & it limits resolution to 1024x768, get the windows version, same with The Web but GOG doesn't sell that one for some reason). ![]() First off, there is no way a VP or FP version could compare to the real games. ![]() I say no, we should NOT recreate the Pro Pinball tables in VP or FP. ![]() To enjoy Blu-ray movies, you need a special player and a compatible computer, which is an inconvenient process. All tanks leave tracks behind themselves. Both the player and enemy tanks have just a single hit point and will be destroyed if receiving damage from bullets or mines (note that the player is also susceptible to damaging themselves). This can destroy certain blocks and also penetrate through unbreakable blocks. Additionally, the player and some enemy tanks possess the ability to place mines, which detonate on a timer in a moderate blast radius, or prematurely, by proximity if approached or if shot outright. Although the playing field is two-dimensional, the vertical stacking of blocks can at times obscure visibility. Since most bullets can ricochet off blocks, combat between tanks often requires predictive aiming and angular judgement to strike moving targets. Gameplay involves manoeuvring around the arena and attacking enemy tanks while avoiding incoming fire. The arena plays in two dimensions within a three-dimensional landscape, and consists of rectangular blocks and potholes, which tanks are blocked from crossing but bullets are able to. ![]() As a result, the games in my collection are mostly PRISTINE!Īpproximately a quarter of the collection is NEW FACTORY SEALED! I know this forum is mainly for developers. It should or better will be licensed under LGPL to enable commercial uses. So I search for collaboration on this undertaking and thus I started a kickstarter campaign to try get this backed to be able to contract developers for this project. Writing software is a time consuming task. After asking, where I could put my idea to code project, I were suggested to go here. When choosing my USB hub, a resource that I followed closely was a post entitled “Which USB hub to use with Block Erupters” BitcoinTalk. I bought it at 1:30 PM one day and picked seven-day shipping, and it arrived the next day! I decided to buy one from Newegg, with Bitcoin of course! It cost $24.99 at the time with free shipping. After about an hour of research, I decided on the Rosewill RHB-500 10-Port USB 2.0 Hub. I ended up plugging them in individually one at a time, and each one reached the expected 333 MH/s +/- 10%.īefore buying the miners, I knew that I would only be able to run two at a time because my laptop has two USB ports, and that wouldn’t be optimal: I would have eight laying around doing nothing! The solution to this is buying a USB hub: a device that allows you to plug multiple USBs into it at one time. I had slight difficulties with understanding some of the miner’s hashrates, but I later realized that it was because I was plugging two miners into my laptop at once (it has two different USB ports) and I was getting confused by which one’s hashrate I was reading on the computer. Make sure you’ve turned off CPU and/or GPU mining on your mining program. You’re mining on the USB–– the laptop is merely what it connects to in order to log its hashes. However, you aren’t mining on your laptop when using a Block Erupter USB. Tip: You may have heard that mining on a laptop is a bad idea and can destroy your laptop this is true. I put it straight in one of the USB ports on the USB hub (more about this a few paragraphs below) and point it over the USBs. I personally use an ARCTIC Breeze USB fan it does a good job of keeping the fans cool. For this reason, I suggest buying a fan to run over your miners to keep them cool. You probably won’t get a scar or any serious injury, but it hurts enough to sting for a minute or two. Within a few minutes, touching the USB while it’s been running will burn you. I plugged a USB into my laptop’s USB port and quickly learned that the miners get very hot very quickly. The Shipping Gods were kind, as each miner came in perfect condition. All 10 arrived in a small white box which were packaged inside of a larger box each miner also came with a clear plastic casing. I received the miners shortly after, and excitedly unboxed them. The seller was very nice, and answered questions that I sent to him about the USBs over private message. My first miners ever were Block Erupters I bought 10 on eBay for $30.99 ($3.10/each) from a seller. ![]() These are all things you’ll do when buying more powerful miners, and the Block Erupter is similar in these regards. It allows you to experiment creating a rig, using safety precautions, and analyzing your earnings. If you’re only going to lose $0.13 a month using a Block Erupter, I think it’s a good miner to buy as a hobby and learning experience. It’s great for hobbyists and beginners to Bitcoin mining– it provides an experience of taking care of and analyzing the miner, which is a great start for those who are looking to use more advanced miners. However, don’t count out the Block Erupter as a miner. With no difficulty changes, you’ll lose $0.13 a month. If you’re looking to make a profit, Block Erupter USBs shouldn’t be your first choice. It is currently 40,000,000,000, so the difficulty has increased a whopping 444,344% since then. When the USBs were first announced, the Bitcoin mining difficulty was about 9,000,000. The average price you’ll find for one is $4.00, usually from Amazon or eBay, although eBay tends to be less expensive. Today, Block Erupters can be bought solo or in bulk. For group-buys, one person would buy the bulk order and sell a few USBs individually to different buyers. The minimum order amount was 300 USBs, so retailers and group-buys were the main way to obtain one. They were small, portable, yet relatively powerful miners, and were suggested as “a perfect gift for getting people knowing about Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining.” The colors included blue, silver, black, red, and yellow. ![]() A Historyīlock Erupter USBs were first announced by friedcat on May 4th, 2013, on. Which one of theses three measuring devices is favoured is purely down to individual preferences. The chalk line/chalk box is a more modern variation of the theme. By releasing the string line you will cause it to “snap” back down to the surface and impart a chalk line. The plumb bob is one of the oldest ways of creating a dead straight line (also known as 'plumbing'). Pinch the middle of the string line between your index finger and thumb and lift it 10-15cm (4-6 inches) off the surface, then release. If you want to impart a line onto the surface, hold the box and secure the string line with a finger so that it is taut. You can use the string line as a reference or impart a chalk line onto the surface. Now that you have attached the hook, the chalk box should hang from it and, because gravity will always pull the object directly downwards, the string line will give an accurate vertical (plumb) reference line. 100 (30m) Line High impact ABS case Ideal for DIY projects Includes.
